Muay Thai is known as the “Art of Eight Limbs” and combines striking with fists, elbows, knees and shins with clinching. It originated in Thailand as part of the Siamese army training in at least the 16th century. Much more recently, it has become widespread in the western world after Thai practitioners started dominating in Kickboxing and MMA. Another high-intensity class, and an extremely practical self-defense skill set. At Sherman's Martial Arts, we are affiliated with the Surakit gym in Thailand under Master Sawirin Jay Pinkaew.

Sung Do Kwan
The Tae Kwon Do/Karate style taught at Sherman's Martial Arts is called "Sun Do Kwan". It is a blend of Korean and Japanese martial arts, and is a mix of everything Headmaster and Founder James Sherman has learned as a student, competitor, and teacher. Master Sherman has studied American Kickboxing, Tae Kwon Do, Aikido, Judo, and Hapkido. Our goal at Sherman's Martial Arts is to help each student develop strong physical and mental attributes so that he or she can develop a unique style during the advance towards Black Belt and beyond.
